Pop-rock band OneRepublic is hitting the road with the Never Ending Summer Tour this 2022! This iconic group, who’s responsible for monster hits, such as “Apologize,” “Counting Stars,” and “Stop and Stare,” is making a stop at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on Wednesday 17th August 2022. The show will also feature Christian rock band, Needtobreathe, as the support act. The Never Ending Summer Tour comes after the band’s four-year touring hiatus. OneRepublic has enjoyed tremendous success upon releasing their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007. The album’s first single, “Apologize,” was remixed by Timbaland, which helped the song peak at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 1 in other countries. Moreover, Dreaming Out Loud received platinum certification in three countries and gold certification in eight countries, including the U.S.
The band’s sophomore album, Waking Up, also enjoyed above-moderate success with platinum certifications in three countries. But it was the third album that propelled OneRepublic into groundbreaking success. Native was released in 2013 and contained the band’s most successful single, “Counting Stars,” which peaked at number 2 on the Hot 100 charts. In addition, Native was also the band’s first album to receive platinum certification in the U.S. and the band’s only album to go platinum in 13 countries. OneRepublic would later release their fourth album, Oh My My, in 2016. The record became the band’s highest-charting debut – at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Last year, OneRepublic dropped their fifth album, Human, after four years without any studio recorded release. The album was to be promoted with a 2021 tour. However, this was later postponed to 2022. Hence, the Never Ending Summer Tour is here, and the band will be performing songs from Human for the first time on stage.
