Multi-instrumentalists Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty, drummer Ryan "Rymo" Moran, percussionist Oguer "OG" Ocon, saxophonist Daniel "Dela" Delacruz, keyboardist Paul Wolstencroft, and trumpet and trombone player Andy Geib make up the eclectic-sounding band Slightly Stoopid, which hails from Ocean Beach, San Diego, California. Guests like Karl Denson of the Rolling Stones and Greyboy Allstars, Don Carlos, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, and Rashawn Ross of the Dave Matthews Band have graced the stage with them on numerous occasions as part of their incredibly dynamic live productions.

In their nearly three decades together, Slightly Stoopid have put out nine studio albums. Everyday Life, Everyday People, their most recent studio album, debuted at number one on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart upon its July 2018 release. Included are appearances by UB40's Ali Campbell, Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, Alborosie, G. Love, Sly & Robbie, Don Carlos, and Yellowman, among others. The group had also promised new material for the year 2022; however, it seems a busy tour schedule may have interfered.

Sublime and Slightly Stoopid's collaboration helped establish a groundbreaking sound that fused punk, ska, reggae, and the laid-back California beach culture. With Nowell's death in 2011, Sublime's legacy has continued through recordings and tours by the new iteration of the band incorporating Rome Ramirez.
